Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Consulting with clients, other engineers, architects, vendors, etc., as necessary to determine the most practical and desirable engineering design in keeping with the budget.
- Preparing design criteria for engineering projects and equipment.
- Selecting suitable materials and equipment in accordance with good engineering practices.
- Writing specifications for materials and equipment in a clear, concise manner.
- Preparing detailed engineering designs in accordance with good engineering practice and in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and restrictions.
- Organizing and scheduling work so as to make the most efficient use of time, resources, and allotted budget.
- Effectively supporting complex civil design projects and can efficiently utilize various company resources to accomplish the intended work.
- Coordinating work with that of other engineers, designers, and team involved in the project.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
- DOE Q-Clearance
- Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D
- Proficient with Autodesk CAD
- Proficient with Bentley MicroStation
- Excellent customer service and communications skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to deal with conflicts and stressful situations.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks to completion.
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
