P&ID Drafter

MS Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced P&ID Drafter to support engineering and design activities for a client in the nuclear industry. This position will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support project requirements.

Duration: Approximately 6 Months
Location: Onsite | Oak Ridge, TN

Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, and maintain P&IDs using CAD software.
  • Update engineering drawings based on redlines, design changes, and project requirements.
  • Interpret process flow diagrams, engineering specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure drawings meet applicable drafting standards and quality requirements.
  • Support engineering design reviews and document control activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and modifying P&IDs.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar drafting software.
  • Understanding of piping systems, valves, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nuclear, DOE, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with engineering design standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent security clearance preferred, but not required.
