Summary
We are hiring a driven Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Working under the supervision of the director, the Accounting Intern will be able to apply their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting while gaining experience performing a variety of accounting duties.

Working under the supervision of the director, the Accounting Intern will be able to apply their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting while gaining experience performing a variety of accounting duties.
Responsibilities
- Shadow members of the Accounting department as they perform their duties.
- Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Provide support on Accounts Payable (AP) duties, such as processing AP transactions, entering vendor invoices, and matching invoices to purchase orders.
- Assist with Accounts Receivables (AR) duties by preparing invoices and processing incoming payments.
- Provide support with the Purchasing process and office supplies.
- Preparation of project control reports.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Other job duties and special projects as assigned or requested.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Actively enrolled in a college program preferably seeking degree in Accounting/Finance
- Excellent customer service and communications/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and managers, and external contacts.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform a variety of concurrent tasks and is process-orientated with high attention to detail.
- Must understand and apply prioritization to work and projects with a strong ability to time manage.
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint.
