Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The General Integration Technician is responsible for integrating mechanical, electrical, and control components into completed assemblies and systems. This role supports fabrication and production activities by performing hands‑on integration, basic testing, troubleshooting, and coordination across disciplines to ensure finished products meet design, quality, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate mechanical assemblies, electrical components, and wiring into completed systems
- Perform system‑level assembly, fit‑up, alignment, and installation tasks
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
- Assist with routing and securing wiring, tubing, and cabling
- Perform basic functional checks and assist with system testing and checkout
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical integration issues and report discrepancies
- Coordinate with electricians, assemblers, and QA/Safety personnel during integration activities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment safely and effectively
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper material handling practices
- Document work performed and integration results as required
- Support rework, modifications, and late‑stage configuration changes
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems integration roles
- Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical familiarity
- Ability to read and follow drawings, schematics, and instructions
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating electrical panels, enclosures, or industrial equipment
- Familiarity with control wiring, sensors, and field devices
- Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Exposure to system testing, commissioning, or troubleshooting activities
- Experience supporting regulated or government‑contracted projects
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to work in an industrial fabrication environment
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Repetitive use of hands and tools
- Exposure to tools, equipment, noise, and shop hazards
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
